Desktop Support Engineer

Goldtech Resources Pte Ltd All Contract
1,800 SGD - 3,500 SGD/Month

·            Installation and configuration of operating systems and software for users

·            Diagnose and Resolve Hardware and Software issues

·            Provide setup and support of IT Equipment (Laptops, Desktops, printers, scanners and other desktop peripherals)

·            Assisting users on operating system, email and software related issues

·            Deployment of PC, Notebook and Printers for as request by IT department

·            Assist in network and wireless troubleshooting and network connectivity issues

·            Troubleshoot networked and local printers. Identify and resolve hardware and software application conflicts.

·            Coordinate with equipment and 3rd party vendors to resolve problems

·            Provide Desktop security services (security patches when require)

 

Requirements

 

·            ITIL, NITEC or Diploma in Information Technology, Engineering or related fields

·            Must be familiar with Windows operating system

·            Provide friendly customer service to users and clients

·            Able to speak clear and fluent conversational English

·            Good interpersonal and communication skills

·            Relevant technical IT Skills

·       has an understanding of PC hardware configuration

·       ability to trouble shoot hardware failure

·       has a good understanding of PC usage

·       has an understanding of PC usage in a LAN environment

·       ability to assist user in installing application in MS Windows environment

·       Able to co-ordinate activities with the teams, vendors and users

·       Willing to learn and adapt to the changing IT environment

  • Install and configure desktop software
  • Troubleshoot all desktop installed software
  • Identify network problems involving desktop or laptop computers
  • Manage accurate inventory of desktop hardware
  • Configure desktop hardware and software for new and existing users
  • Resolve moderate end-user hardware/software problems including remote access software
  • Ensure desktop software license compliance
  • Resolve technical problems with desktop equipment and software
  • Maintain desktop software and hardware and also support mobile workforce
  • Perform installation, configuration and upgrades on desktop hardware and software
  • Install new hardware, software and upgrades on desktop computers, and laptops
  • Customize desktop applications to meet user
  • Build and configure desktop and laptop computers for new users
  • Maintain printers and related hardware/software
  • Work primarily with desktop, and laptop hardware and software
  • Perform onsite technical support to address desktop/laptop issues
  • Troubleshoot computer hardware and software problems
  • Provide expert level support of all desktop and network hardware and software applications
  • Resolve technical hardware and software issues
  • Resolve technical problems with desktop computing equipment and software
