Assistant Manager/Senior Assistant Manager, Academic (Undergraduate Studies)

  • Review and provide preliminary recommendations on shortlisted undergraduate applicants

  • Participate in student’s admission selection meetings, answering enquiries from prospective students and parents

  • Participate in various welcome events for freshmen, including orientation and matriculation activities

Course Administration, Timetabling and Registration

  • Perform completeness checks on proposals submitted for new programmes and for request for change of curriculum by Faculty

  • Administer and ensure fair distribution of teaching assignments for academic faculty, teaching assistants and postgraduates for undergraduate courses offered in the semester

  • Oversee course registration and ensure that the process has been conducted in accordance to the university’s and school’s policies, guidelines and deadlines

  • Check and ensure that all students have successfully registered for their required course after the course registration exercise


  • Administer and ensure proper governance of the scholarship process in accordance to the university’s and school’s policies


  • Liaise with faculty members, undergraduate coordinators of other schools and Central Administration in the planning of examination schedules and ensuring no clashes

  • Ensure all examination matters are administered in line with the university’s policies

  • Coordinate and facilitate the examination results appeal and review process and update student(s) timely on the decision

Internship and Exchange

  • Facilitate and ensure timely and relevant placement of students for the internship and the exchange programmes


  • Work with academic studies unit in other school for second major student course registrations

  • Timely reporting of deviations to current policy requirements and guidelines and propose/initiate rectification actions

  • Review and recommend opportunities for process alignment or enhancement for the school’s Undergraduate Department using university wide policies and guidelines as a reference

  • Prepare, provide, submit and maintain various types of reports and statistical information as required

  • Provide projected statistics on class of honors for the following academic year and up-to-date forecast student numbers for the coming school terms

  • Study the enrolment trends and patterns of withdrawal across the school and provide recommendation(s) to the Associate Chair (Academic) for his/her strategic planning discussion with the School Board

  • Coordinate and administer the CET program (i.e. Part time diploma to eventually take part time degree in SCSE)

  • Secretariat for PMC and BoE


  • Minimum degree from a recognized university (any discipline)

  • Preferably 3 to 5 years of relevant working experience. Those with similar years of experience working in the educational sector will also be considered

  • Good interpersonal skills and is customer centric

  • Independent, highly analytical, proactive and a team player

  • Able to utilize and leverage on software tools to optimize business processes

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Efficient user of MS-Excel and macros

  • Highly organize and has good time management skills

  • Adaptable to changes quickly

  • Able to work in a highly demanding and fast pace environment

  • Tactful and able to demonstrate empathy whenever necessary

  • Ability to lead a small team

  • Project management skills
