SALT Talent is hiring AS400 application programmer for a top global insurance company for 12 months & renewable contract position. In this role you will be assisting in developing Life Systems development/enhancement projects including Life Asia and Front-End systems.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for managing small scale projects throughout its life cycle including feasibility study, user expectation management, and change management.
• Assist direct supervisor to deliver medium to large scale of system modification/enhancement within budget and time frame.
• Responsible for project execution within budget and time frame, measuring/identify potential risk and recommends risk mitigation wherever appropriate.
• Propose on system development strategy and planning.
• Monitor the performance and ensure quality support of all existing IT production systems.
• Assist direct supervisor to establish design standard and lead system development.

Qualifications:

• Solid experience in enterprise-scale application development
• Strong knowledge in Life Asia, AS/400, middle ware connectivity like MQ/MSP and client-server technologies integrating with Front-End System
• Good knowledge in Life Insurance products and workflow
• Good knowledge in OpenText Exstream (Stream serve) and BMC Control-M is an advantage.
• Preferred at least 3+ years of relevant work experience
