Junior Chef (Sushi Jiro)
About Junior Chef Position @ Sushi Jiro
Sushi Jiro is seeking a talented and passionate Junior Chef to join our team. The Junior Chef will work closely with our Head Chef and culinary team to prepare high-quality sushi dishes for our customers. The ideal candidate should have a strong passion for sushi making, a willingness to learn, and a desire to continuously improve their skills.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and create sushi dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Assist with the development of new sushi menu items and specials
- Ensure food quality and presentation meet our standards
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment
- Assist with inventory management, including ordering and stocktaking
- Collaborate with the Head Chef and other team members to ensure efficient and smooth kitchen operations
- Follow all health and safety regulations and guidelines
Requirements:
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in prior chef experience
- Strong culinary skills and knowledge of sushi making techniques and ingredients (optional)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and public holidays
- Possess a Food Hygiene Certificate or willingness to obtain one
Monthly Salary: $2,300 - $3,000
Working Location: Marina at Keppel Bay & Park Royal Collection Hotel @ Marina Bay
Working Days & Hours (inclusive of breaktime): Daily working hours from 11am till 10.30pm, with a break from 2.30pm till 6pm, 1.5 days a week off
