Application Engineer (Chemical/Manufacturing/Up $4,500)

Job Responsibilities:
- Provide trouble-shooting assistance to customers, sales engineers and sales partners to reach optimized application recommendation or root cause conclusion.
- Complete technical projects as assigned within established timeframes; clearly understand and validate project objectives; develop testing plans (inclusive of test matrices, data collection and analysis techniques, and reporting format) that ensure project objectives are efficiently achieved.
- Assesses project requests for viability, cost, resource demand, and (if applicable) propose alternative approaches that will more efficiently meet the objectives.
- Manage reports according to customer's required format which include collection of data, analysis, recommendations and conclusions with appropriate charts and tables for each project completion.
- Able to prepare and deliver convincing presentations (using PowerPoint and EXCEL) to customers and co-workers.
- Provide technical service training for sales channel partners and customers.
- Enter information into Customer Relationship Management database in a timely manner.
- Develop and maintain expertise in Application Engineering laboratory equipment operation and test methods.
- Maintain expertise in assigned technical and market fields, inclusive of competitive technologies and products.
Job Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in chemistry/materials or relavent qualifications.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years in technical experience supporting the electronics/semi-conductor/automotive-electronics market segment.
- Preferably to have experience in specialty materials or specialty chemicals.
- Possess knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, customer relationship management (CRM) software, UV Adhesives and UV Curing System.
