Support Services Analyst-Oil & Gas MNC (Contract-West)
Job Description & Requirements
Our Client is a Fortune 500 Company and is one of the largest integrated refiners, marketer of petroleum products and chemical manufacturers in the world.
Responsibilities
- Providing day-to-day support for laboratory network infrastructure (servers, PC, switches and routers) such as Windows OS patching, anti-virus patching, user access control, software installations etc
- Establish, maintain, document and execute appropriate security and control practices to achieve business and operation requirements in a manner consistent with corporate IT system requirement
- Interface with third parties vendors for new equipment PC commissioning/decommissioning
- Demonstrate strong ownership in maintaining laboratory IT system inventory records including but not limited to software licenses, PC inventory, hardware spare parts etc
- Troubleshoot out-of-service obsolete PC and work closely with relevant personnel to bring the PC back in service timely
- Lead project for laboratory IT system including but not limited to Serial Collect setup for PC, Integration Manager setup, upgrading obsolete PC and server to latest OS, commissioning PC for lab new instrument etc
- Supporting laboratory in Global LabLAN implementation
- Any other duties as assigned by supervisor
Requirements
- Minimum qualification: Diploma holder in IT-related field. Relevant working experience will be an advantage
- Strong knowledge in client/server environment, Microsoft technology (e.g. Windows Domain, Active Directory), Network Infrastructure and cybersecurity (e.g. Cisco routers and switches), virtualization technology (e.g. WMware) and LIMS
- Strong hands-on troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Shows initiatives and willingness to learn
- An effective team player with good communication and interpersonal skills
