Job Description:

This role is required to serve the academic arm of the undergraduate programmes office in the critical function of academic planning, coordination and administering of various academic programmes to enable a meaningful and hassle-free student experience for all our undergraduates in the following areas:

 

1. Academic Support

  • Oversee and coordinate with faculty, divisions, Joint Programme Partners and other departments on curriculum changes or course approvals
  • Oversee divisions’ submission of documents for courses offered prior to start of each semester
  • Coordinate with Exam team to verify award of Minor, Second Major, Second Specialisation
  • Coordinate with other departments to review students’ withdrawal from the joint programmes
  • Handle students’ enquiries on Massive Open Online Course and oversee students’ credit transfer applications 

2. Professional Exposure Programmes (PEP)

Administer PEPs namely:

  • Professional Attachment
  • Work Study Degree Programmes
  • Overseas Entrepreneurship Programme
  • Experiential Semester Programme
  • Laise with inter and intra-departments to support students in the various work/internship professional exposure programmes
  • Work closely with Undergraduate Career Services Office and Partner Organisations for the various Work Study Degree Programmes
  • Advise students on PA options, implications on curriculum and graduation and work out faculty work allocation

 

3. Global Exchange Programme - Outbound Exchange / Inbound Exchange

  • Coordinate outbound/ inbound student exchanges and applications
  • Provide academic advisory on course arrangements and course plans for students
  • Review feasibility of international partnerships and prepare recommendations for potential exchange collaborations with overseas partners
  • Liaise with NTU departments and partner universities on student applications and course selection
  • Manage and mentor support officer overseeing exchange matters
  • Facilitate course selections and approvals for exchange students

4. Business Streaming

  • Plan schedule of work and provide streaming updates and reports to management
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to work out streaming system setup, streaming numbers and streaming arrangements
  • Perform allocations, manage appeals, handle withdrawals and change of programmes and specialisations

5. Change of Programme/Specialisation

  • Monitor and process change of Programme requests and credit transfers
  • Evaluate students’ requests and administer recommendations.

Job Requirements:

  • Min. Degree in any discipline with relevant working experience, preferably in the education sector
  • Strong people management and leadership skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Self-motivated and Flexible, organized and meticulous
  • Team player and able to work with all levels of staff
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in MS Office (knowledge of Advanced MS Excel will be advantageous), web applications and student information/database management systems.

 

Working hours:

  • Mondays to Thursday: 8:30 AM to 5:45 PM
  • Fridays: 8:30 AM to 5:15 PM
  • Lunch Break – 45 mins  

Working location:

  • Pioneer (School environment)

 

Additional info:

  • Salary: Up to $4500 per month
  • Contract Period: 6 months
  • This is an outsourced role
