Assistant Director/Manager (Emergency Preparedness)
You will assist to develop, review and implement policies and standards to help build the Ministry's capacity and capability in contingency planning and emergency preparedness. You are required to plan and drive emergency planning for the Ministry's Statutory Boards to ensure operational readiness. This will require you to liaise and work with our Statutory Boards and various Government Agencies or relevant companies to develop contingency and emergency operations plans, organising and conduct training, exercises and operational readiness related initiatives and programmes. You will also help to conduct NE training/workshops for the Ministry's essential personnel; formulate exercise scenarios/validation checklist and participate in exercises conducted by Ministry of Home Affairs and/or Homefront agencies.
Qualifications in any discipline; with about 3 years of working experience in contingency planning, operational risk management, incident/crisis management and in running of exercises. You should have the ability to conceptualise and develop operation plans. You should also have good interpersonal, verbal, written and facilitation skills, and be able to work independently across teams, agencies and stakeholders in a professional manner. Ability to handle rapid developments in a crisis situation is critical.
