The position is required to conduct research and development work related to trust in precision medicine, the project "HOW READY ARE WE TO TRUST USING AI IN MEDICINE? A Study on Compliance to Governance, Engagement of Stakeholders and Integration into Medical System".

The Temporary Research Associate (RA) shall take charge of research & developments on projects in trust in AI medicine and healthcare. The RA shall participate in all aspects pertaining to the research and development of the project. In particular, the project officer shall take charge of recruiting and testing participants, perform data collection and analysis, summarize the findings in project reports and present the update of the project in slides.

Apart from working on technical aspects of research projects, he/she will also take charge of general matters for the projects, including keeping track of the progress of the project, managing part-time undergraduate student assistants, communicating with the research team, and liaising with collaborators.

The candidate scope of work would include 2 main areas of responsibility:

First
  • Develop the theories in trust in AI medicine;
  • Test the above theories with research hypotheses;
  • Design the study for interview, focus group discussions and surveys to test the above hypotheses;
  • Summarize the main findings from the experiments/focus group discussions/surveys, models and hypothesis testing;


Second
  • Prepare for the reports and slides/posters for demonstrations;
  • Prepare for conference papers and manuscripts for journal submissions;
  • Communicate with the research team and collaborators.


Competencies and requirements:
  • Masters degree in Communications, Social Sciences, or equivalent fields
  • Knowledge of AI medicine and healthcare communication, knowledge of technology acceptance constructs e.g. UTAUT.
  • Prior research experience in healthcare
  • Good English writing and communication skills, independently and as a team player
  • Good publication records
