School of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) is looking for a candidate to join them as a Project Officer.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work on a project to conduct the research on the production of self-healing cement additive and its applications

Job Responsibilities:

• BEng degree in Engineering, Material Science or Chemistry
• Strong academic standing with several publications in reputable journals
• Experience in chemical synthesis and analysis, concrete sample preparation, mechanical testing and microstructural characterization (XRD, TGA, FTIR and SEM-EDX)
• Experience in bacteria-based self healing concrete would be preferable, but not required
• Proficiency in English speaking and writing is essential to conduct research
• Strong references from previous supervisors are needed
