The School of Materials Science Engineering (MSE) of Nanyang Technological University invites applications for the position of Research Fellow.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the work on processing, characterization of new piezoelectric/piezoresistive materials and application of the materials in the sensors for soft robotic gripper.
• Work on the integration and performance evaluation of the sensors for the soft robotic gripper application.
• Responsible to liaison with the industrial collaborator and manage project deliverables.
• Coordinate collaboration between research units to achieve the deliverables of the project.
• Responsible for day-to-day operations and safety of laboratories in NUS-Create and NTU-MSE.
• Supervise and mentor PhD candidates and undergraduate students attached to the project.
• Be a member of greater research team under the PI Research Focus Laboratory

Job Requirements:

• Ph. D. in Materials Science and Engineering or other relevant discipline
• Experience in materials synthesis and device fabrication
• Knowledge on physical and chemical materials characterization
• Strong Publication Records
