The Continental-NTU Corporate Lab: Future-Oriented Continental Urban Society (FOCUS) Lab invites applications for the position of Research Asscociate.

Continental-NTU Corporate Lab is a S$50 million joint corporate laboratory between NTU and Continental that focuses on developing technologically advanced solutions in the areas such as autonomous robotics, navigation, artificial intelligence (AI), cybersecurity, smart materials, sensing, communication, and cloud technologies for future urban mobility applications. We aim to accelerate innovation in Singapore's automotive industry and translate research outcomes into practical and viable urban mobility solutions for the future.

Key Responsibilities:

• The research associate will be in charge of the learning-based control of a cobot platform, including a robotic manipulator and an autonomous Automated Guided Vehicle with intelligent human-robot interactions.
• The work will involve robotic control, reinforcement learning, test rig set-up, and experimental validation.

Job Requirements:

• The candidate must at least have a Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, Automation and Control Engineering, etc.
• Candidates having relevant working experience will be preferred.
• Strong background in robotic control, AI and automation.
• Good communications skills and the ability to work independently and facilitate projects with minimal supervision
• Able to contribute to Journal/Conference papers with good presentation skills
• Able to plan and organize well and adhere to deadlines
